"But I've never done kickboxing before"
You don't need to have any martial arts or boxing background. This is a self-pacing class designed to teach technique and form of different punches and kicks for you to master at your own level. There is no contact with a person, you are not training to be a boxer, you ARE learning valuable self-defense instincts, all while getting your body healthy and reaching YOUR personal fitness goals.
These classes use the rubber tubing to develop lean muscle mass and definition by isolating specific muscle groups. The better development of your muscle tissue, the better your metabolism, which will increase your body's ability to burn fat longer!
Resistance training will increase your strength and also flexibility.
These classes are geared toward 10-14 year old boys and girls. They are approximately 45 minutes of stretching, cardio, and upper & lower body drills. The kids will get a great workout, burn calories, and have fun!
Many kids are playing sports year round, and without enough strength and conditioning, injuries are occurring more frequently. Kickboxing will increase their endurance, strengthen major muscle groups and increase flexibility!
